Nancy frequently speaks at Chicago area law schools and bar associations. She also participates as a speaker or a facilitator at women's conferences such as iRelaunch, Make It Better Magazine's Re:Work, and Women for Hire/Chicago Expo. She has also spoken before the Association of Legal Administrators/Chicago Chapter and both chapters of Lawyers Connecting in the Chicago area.
Nancy is a monthly contributor to The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin's Non-Billable Hours column and frequently writes for its Around the Water Cooler blogs and Ms. JD, see Nancy's Publications pages.
Nancy previously practiced commercial litigation as an associate in the Chicago office of McDermott, Will and Emery for many years. She also served as the Director of Legal Services for the Center for Disability and Elder Law f/k/a/ The Legal Clinic for the Disabled, Inc., where she supervised three in-house attorneys and over 400 volunteer attorneys serving the legal needs of low-income people with disabilities. Nancy also has presided over 150 mandatory arbitration matters as an arbitrator for the Circuit Courts of Cook and Lake Counties. She has also counseled many students and graduates in their career development for the Office of Career Services at Loyola University Chicago Law School.
Nancy received her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago, ranking 12th out of 149 in her law school class. She graduated from Occidental College, magna cum laude, with honors.
Nancy presently lives in Deerfield, Illinois with her husband and their three daughters, where everything stops for the Illini.
